Welcome to Charted Roots Education Consulting!

Navigating the educational system can be overwhelming—whether you're preparing your child for their first day of school, transitioning between grade levels, or adjusting as a new immigrant family to an unfamiliar system. That’s where we come in.

Who We Are

At Charted Roots Education Consulting, we provide expert education consulting, tutoring, and life coaching to support students and families on their learning journey. With over 16 years of experience in the public school system, we understand the academic and personal challenges students and parents face.

Our mission is to empower families with the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to succeed—not only in school, but at home, where success truly begins.

What We Do

Our services are designed to support students and families at every stage of their educational journey:

📚 Education Consulting

  • Guidance on navigating the Canadian education system (for both local and immigrant families)

  • Understanding school curriculums, expectations, and transitions between stages

  • Helping parents build strong partnerships with teachers and schools

  • Supporting parents in creating structure, accountability, and communication at home—because when the foundation is strong at home, students thrive in school

  • Home Schooling Support for Parents – Step-by-step guidance to help parents plan, organize, and deliver meaningful learning at home with confidence.

🌱 Life Coaching for Pre-Teens & Teens

  • Coaching students on personal growth, decision-making, and responsibility

  • Teaching time management, emotional regulation, and school-life balance

  • Encouraging resilience, motivation, and positive identity development

Why It Matters

Foundations begin at home. When children are raised in environments with structure, open communication, and clear boundaries, they are more prepared to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Our goal is to help parents become confident leaders in their child’s development—and to equip students with the skills they need to grow into motivated, accountable, and successful learners.

Why Choose Us?

Experienced Educator – Over 16 years in the education system brings unmatched insight and empathy
Holistic Support – We go beyond academics to focus on the whole child—emotionally, socially, and mentally
Tailored Approach – Every family is different. We meet you where you are, and build from there

Together, we can chart a path to success for your child—rooted in strong values at home and supported by personalized guidance in school.

Let’s plant the seeds of growth, nurture them with purpose, and watch your child thrive.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.
— Martin Luther King Jr.
Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mine worker can become the head of the mine, that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another.
— Nelson Mandela

Why early intervention is necessary…….

Early academic struggles can significantly impact a student's long-term educational journey. Research indicates that children facing early attention difficulties are 40% less likely to graduate from high school.

Additionally, students who experience early academic and behavioral challenges are at a higher risk of school disengagement, academic failure, and eventual dropout.

Addressing these issues early through targeted interventions, such as tutoring and life coaching, can help students develop essential skills, build confidence, and improve academic performance, thereby reducing the likelihood of future struggles.
