Teachers and principals are doing their best—but they’re often restricted in what they can say or do. At Charted Roots Education Consulting, we go beyond the boundaries of the school system to deliver impactful, real-talk sessions that help parents understand exactly where and how to support their children—at home and in school.
These in-school, large group sessions are perfect for PAC nights, transition meetings (e.g. K–3, Grade 4–6, Grade 8 –9, Grade 10-12, newcomer family orientations, or early intervention outreach-Preschool).
Home Support Strategies – Helping parents establish structure, routines, boundaries, and communication habits that support learning and emotional regulation
Understanding the Education System – Breaking down curriculum, report cards, school options, and grade-level expectations in clear, parent-friendly language
Preparing for Transitions – Supporting parents through upcoming stages like puberty years, junior high, high school, and post-secondary planning
Working with Teachers – Encouraging mutual respect, realistic expectations, and collaborative relationships
Supporting Immigrant Families – Helping families align cultural values with school success and feel empowered in a new system
Backed by Data & Experience – All sessions include evidence-based insights, real examples, and culturally responsive strategies
